Gerard Spong (Paramaribo, 1946), best known as lawyer, is also a drummer. During his study Gerard drummed with a band called The Demons, who had a minor hit with a cover of the Calypso classic Big Bamboo in 1966.



Gerard Spong drummed live on tv in Dutch show De Wereld Draait Door in April 2012. He did a quick jam session with guitarists JB Meijers (De Dijk), Wouter Planteijdt (Sjako!) and Maurits Westerik (Gem).
