Emilio Estefan Jr. is the husband of Gloria Estefan. Both played in The Miami Sound Machine, with Emilio as band leader and percussionist.



Currently he is also one of the hottest producers in the Spanish-language and crossover arena. He served as executive producer on Ricky Martin's self-titled English debut album, and produced tracks on Jennifer Lopez's "On the 6" as well as Marc Anthony's self-titled English debut album. Estefan also produced Jon Secada's new album, "The Better Part of Me". In addition, he produced albums of his wife Gloria Estefan, including "Alma Caribena".



In 2000 the Latin Academy Of Recording Arts & Sciences (LARAS) honored Emilio Estefan Jr. as person of the year. The honor, in recognition of Estefan's professional and philanthropic accomplishments, was the first of its kind to be bestowed by the Latin Academy.
