Vibraphonist Eldad Tarmu plays with drummer Daniel Glass in Daniel Glass Trio, but he also released several solo albums.
Tarmu's family is from Israel and Tarmu spent many years living there, but is a native of California. He studied vibes with Charlie Shoemake. His major influence on the vibes is Bobby Hutcherson and his writing style is influenced by Chick Corea, Bill Evans and Wayne Shorter.
"Although certainly not as well known as Lionel Hampton, Milt Jackson, Cal Tjader, Gary Burton, or Stefan Harris, Eldad Tarmu is destined to make a name for himself in the jazz world. Not only is Eldad a first-rate vibraphonist, but his compositional ideas also bring an interesting and innovative sound to the fore."
