Eirik Renton played drums in Pantheon I, the Norwegian extreme metal band featuring vocalist/guitarist Andrč Kvebek (1349) and guitarist John Espen Sagstad (Abiotic), until May 2005. Previously Eirik Renton had played in Sarkom.
"Eirik decided to leave Pantheon Ias he felt he had lost his inspiration to play drums in extreme metal", according to a statement by the band. Dan Theobald of UK black metallers Twisted Autumn Darkness became Pantheon I's new skinbasher.
