Dero Goi (1970, Wolfsburg) is drummer and vocalist in German tanz metal act Oomph!. His musical carreer started in the 1970's at family reunions when Dero (singer) and his father (guitarist) performed Elvis and Beatles songs. Dero has been taking classical singing lessons for five years now. He was in a new-wave/punk band with Crap in 1989.



In an interview with Supernova.com (2001) he declares:

"We just wanted to make fun of that artistname-bullshit! We wanted to show the stupidity of all those "cool sounding" stuff. Nobody sane would call his baby "Crap", "Flux" or "Dero", which by the way is the latin term for "your honor", the way that you have to call the lawyer at the law-court when you talk to him. So you can also see the ambiguity of showbiz in our names..."
