Dave Chavarri (Lima, Peru, 1967) moved to the U.S. at age 11. At the age of 17 he recorded his first record, and began his 18 year career.
Currently Dave Chavarri plays drums in Ill Niño of which he is a founding member and driving force. He 's backed up by percussionist Daniel Couto.
Previously Chavarri played in Gothic Slam and in Laaz Rockit. He joined the latter band just before recording their "Nothing'$ $acred" album, replacing initial drummer Victor Agnello. After the promotion tour in Japan in 1990/1991 Dave left and was replaced by Matt Vander Ende from Defiance.
Chavarri joined New York's Pro-Pain in 1997, replacing the band's original drummer Dan Richardson. Chavarri did not stay long: he left Pro-Pain one year later, in 1998. He was followed up by Eric Matthews.

To date, Chavarri has performed over 2500 shows in countries all over the world, including U.S., Japan, Australia and Europe, and has been showcased in such magazines as Modern Drummer, Drums, Metal Edge, R.I.P., Kerrang, Metal Hammer, and Circus.
