Born into a family of musicians, Daniel Saur's destiny was already given: a life in music! Daniel Saur early focused on percussion and for three years in a row, he was selected for the National Youth Orchestra, touring both nationally and internationally.



Later on Daniel Saur received a Master of Music degree at the School of Music in Piteå at University of Luleå and since then he has worked as teacher at different schools and regular as a free lance musician and as such he can be heard on, up till now, seven CD’s.



Daniel Saur tours nationally with different chamber orchestras and opera companies. For the moment Daniel occupies the position of Director of Percussion Studies at the School of Music in Piteå at University of Luleå, and he also manages the percussive institute of Framnäs Music School. With Global Percussion Network he tours extensively in Europe and US, performing and giving seminars and master classes.



Daniel Saur's interest for new contemporary percussion music, both for his own performances and for

the sake of his students performances, he founded his own publishing company,

GPN-Publishing, to serve as a publishing entity for percussion compositions from all members of GPN.
