Cris Nelson teamed up with Kat Ward and Kieren to form the three-piece progressive gothic metal band called Hand.
Hand self-released two EPs, with Fony guitarist Chris Hamilton collaborating with the group on its second CD, 'Shadow: Word Pain'.
In 2007, Hand took part in the AKG Unsigned Heroes competition, beating over 800 acts to secure their spot in the top 20. Later that year the band signed to Copro Records, the label home of acts such as Panic Cell, Forever Never and I-Def-I.
Hand's debut album, "Deadroom Journal", was released worldwide in September 2008.
