Chris Whitehouse has been playing for 20 years and holds a BMus (Hons) in Jazz from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. During his tenure there he studied with the world-renowned saxophonist Tommy Smith and Scottish drum wonder Alyn Cosker.
His education and experience lends him tremendous versatility behind the drum kit in a wide variety of styles – from rock trio to big band and more. This year sees him release albums with his own Jazz Rock group, Connected and his rock band Hercules Mandarin.
Chris Whitehouse has studied with Alan Dale (London's West End), Ryan Ross – who studied privately with Gary Chaffee. 2010 saw Chris Whitehouse take a coveted place at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to study Jazz music where he studied with Scottish Drum sensation Alyn Cosker (Tommy Smith, SNJO, Wolfstone). His studies also gave him a fantastic insight into music in a different way – learning harmony, composition and more, making Chris Whitehouse a truly musical drummer.
As a drum tutor Chris has a varied collection of students in his roster – from new starters to more advanced and beyond.
