Chris Taylor-Munro's first crack at a drum was at age six with a traditional German Oom-pah pah band, lederhosen and all. Playing marches, concert music, country and jazz lead to his enrollment in Humber College's music program.
Chris Taylor-Munro left his studies the first year to join a six month USO tour during the Persian Gulf War. Upon returning to Canada, Chris continued to play and record with a variety of Independent acts.
In the year 2000, he was asked to drum with EMI recording artists, Moist. Moist front man, David Usher enlisted Chris as touring/recording drummer for his second solo project, Morning Orbit, playing 140 shows worldwide in 2002. Television appearances include MTV Asia, MTV Europe, Muchmusic, CBC, CTV, ESPN and videos.
Chris plays Yamaha Maple Custom 30th Anniversary for toms and bass drum, but regards his "Elvin Jones" snare as his pride and joy.
