Chris Postma was born on May 4th, 1976 in Assen, The Netherlands, where he lived since. He started playing the drums when he was eight years old. In 1998, Chris accidentally met a keyboard player in Groningen (whos name remains unmentioned) and started a band that would become Riffbreak.
Later on Hendrik Jan also joined the band. Riffbreaks music was highly symphonic, but unfortunately the personalities of the band members collided on a regular basis. Chris Postma left the band and went on to play in the rock/metal formation H2, in which he played for three pleasant years. However, the diffrent musical interests in the band became harder to unite, so Chris left the band.
In the meantime Chris Postma was occupied with several side projects in and in the surroundings of Assen. One night he got a call from Hendrik Jan, if he would like to join a new gothic/simpho-metal band.
In need of something new Chris decided to take on the challenge and became the gothic drummer of Nemesea. And so he was until July 2005. Due to a 'difference in abitions', Chris and the band decide to part ways. Postma was followed up by Sander Zoer.
Former bands Chris Postma played in are: Gumboots (70's covers), Cain Unable (70's rock), Riffbreak (sympho rock/metal), Tricklight (alternative/melodic rock), H2 (80's oriented metal), Jah Radio (melodic rock).
