At barely 14 years old, Caitlin ‘Lead Foot’ Kalafus set two new WFD World records during the WFD competition at the NAMM Winter show 2007.
Caitlin Kalafus became the youngest person to ever hold a WFD World Record when she beat out a blistering 799 singles on the bass drum and taking the WFD World Record ‘Battle of the Feet’ (female division).
Caitlin Kalafus currently plays in the pop-rock group Kicking Daisies.
It all started when Caitlin's dad, a middle-school music teacher, brought home a drumset when she was eight. became obsessed with drums, practicing hours a day and listening to every drummer she could find.
By the time Caitlin Kalafus was twelve, she started playing in her first band, COD (Caitlin On Drums). It was a trio with Caitlin's father on guitar and a bassist named Chris Barber, who also sang.
