After Boyd Small fronted the Terraplanes for 11 years he moved from Portland (USA) to Amsterdam in 1997. He has been building a solid reputation in the Benelux blues scene as a singer, drummer and producer ever since. He has made two critically acclaimed albums with the 9-piece Boyd Small band. His new blues album would be perfect for a sultry summer night. It features four great singers and musicians who team up to make the whole of the band greater than the sum of it's parts: Four Plus One!
Frontman Boyd Small was a local hero in the Portland area as singer/drummer of the Terraplanes for 11 years. He drummed with Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Jimmy Rogers, Hubert Sumlin, Guitar Shorty and Pinetop Perkins. In 1997 he moved to Amsterdam and has recorded two critically acclaimed albums with the 9-piece Boyd Small band.
