Andrew Loomis is best known as drummer in US lo-fi garage rock Dead Moon. Previously he played in new wave combo the Boy Wonders, and with Snow Bud and The Flower People.
Drummer Andrew Loomis auditioned for The Range Rats in 1986, but it didn't work out. The country-influenced project featured Fred Cole and Toody Conner, who enlisted "Rollie", the notoriously offbeat vintage Roland drum machine. In 1987 Fred and Toody decided they wanted to play rock 'n' roll again. They called Andrew Loomis, who fit right in this time, and Dead Moon was born.
In December 2006 Dead Moon announced their disbandment. Andrew Loomis continued playing drums for a band called The Shiny Things from Longview, Washington.
