Born in 1987, Alexandre Esperet is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale de Musique de Créteil and a student of Jean Geoffroy at the Conservatoire National de Musique de Lyon.
In 2008 Alexandre Esperet was awarded the first prize at the Cannes National Marimba Competition. A year later Alexandre was among the finalists of the Geneva International Music Competition (among others audience award).
In 2011 Alexandre Esperet founded the SR9 Trio with Paul Changarnier and Nicolas Cousin, which won the 2012 International Percussion Competition of Luxembourg (first prize, public prize and Lalux Prize).
In 2012 Alexandre Esperet won first prize during the the Tromp Percussion Eindhoven Competition Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
Alexandre Esperet is a solo percussionist with the Ostinato Orchestra in Paris. First percussionist with the Orchestre des Jeunes de PACA, Alexandre also performs with the Orchestre Lyrique Régional Avignon-Provence.
