Alan Johnston is best known as drum technician for Franz Ferdinand's Paul Paul Thomson.



On September 19, 2008 Alan stepped in for Paul and performed live with Franz Ferdinand at the Equinox Pilton Party as the group's regular drummer wasn't able to take the stage due to the birth of his son.



Former Fall drummer Nick Dewey played some songs as well that night.
