Adam Pfahler used to play drums in Jawbreaker. He is also founding member of Blackball Records.
Jawbreaker officially disbanded in the summer of 1996. After the breakup Adam stayed in San Francisco. In August of 1997, he became the father of a baby girl. For a period, he played drums in the band Songs For Emma, but left in late 1997. Adam Pfahler then played drums for the Moons, a pop band who released a 7" and some compilation tracks; they are currently on hiatus.
Adam Pfahler's main focus for the next few years was drumming for J Church; he appears on their One Mississippi album, which was released in July 2000.
Pfahler also owns a video rental store in San Francisco named Lost Weekend, which is located at 1034 Valencia Street between 21st and 22nd; an East Bay location will soon see the light of day.
In October of 2001, Adam and his wife had another baby girl.
In late 2002, Adam Pfahler left J Church and began playing with the band Whysall Lane, whose other members include Richard Baluyut (Versus), Mikel Delgado (Little Deaths) and Lorna Goldie Lithgow. A first album has been recorded and released.
