Mallets feature hand-wound heads and hickory handles
Artist biography Adam Argullin
Adam Argullin is a drummer, educator and creator of mallets. He began making custom, hand-made mallets in the fall of 1996 while attending Eastern KY University. As a freshmen, members of the percussion studio attended a master class on the topic of mallet maintenance. There Adam Argullin learned to rewrap mallets when the came unwound.
Soon Adam Argullin would find himself rewrapping mallets for other studio members as their mallets from other companies would come unraveled. This soon turned into a very time consuming business. And just before Christmas of that same year he experimented with his first prototype mallets.
That first set of mallets became the ground work for the great mallets Adam Argullin is producing today.
