John Thomson Live at Remo Drummer Night 2017 A Star host between Star Drummers John Thomson Live at Remo Drummer Night 2017 - A Star host between Star Drummers John Thomson hosted the Remo Drummer Night 2017. As one of Britain's best comedians and actors, he was also part of the artists on stage during the Remo evening on the first day of The UK Drum Show. Representing Remo, Sakae and Zildjian, he played Incognito's super hit Always There with the UK All Star band put together by Karl Brazil.

The Tortured Artist
In his description on Twitter, John calls himself a tortured artist. Because of his attitude, his personality and extremely funny hosting skills, we simply know this is far from the truth. He managed to keep the evening together with 17 drummers performing, he auctioned several instruments himself, including the one of a kind and main item of the evening: the Remo D. Belli Signature snare drum.

Besides his work as a comedian, his writer ship and Jazz musician, his acting career on British television spends over 20 years. He starred in series like Spitting Image, Coronation Street, The Fast Show and Cold Feet. As a talented voice artist he was a narrator for several television documentaries, series and shows.

He co-hosted the 2012 Buddy Rich 25th Anniversary Memorial Show with Buddy Rich's daughter Cathy Rich, as well as playing a song with the Buddy Rich Big Band.
