Joey Jordison has previously toured as a guest drummer with black metal band Satyricon in late 2004. But he thinks playing for Ministry is a different challenge. Jordison tol Launch Radio Networks:

\"When I did Satyricon, that was more of, like, \'I\'m a fan of that and I believe in the band, I\'d like to, you know, get \'em out there, I\'m friends with the guys and I\'m a big, avid black metal fan. But this one is more, and again, this is a different style of music that I haven\'t really got into playing. I mean, I have, but this will be a big thing.\"

Jordison was also recently approached to play a few dates with Anthrax, and famously sat in for Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich when last mentioned suddenly fell ill and could not make it to a massive UK festival in the summer of 2004.

Joey Jordison has time to join Ministry as Slipknot went on hiatus at the end of 2005 after nearly 18 months on the road in support of their third album, 2004\'s \"Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)\".

Slipknot percussionist Shawn \"Clown\" Crahan is currently working on a new album with his side project To My Surprise.
