\"Meshuggah are our brothers from another mother. This tour makes so much sense. Like flies on shit or white on eggs or something. We are very excited to play on foreign shores again.\"
Two new albums
Both bands are currently working on new albums. Meshuggah, with Tomas Haake on drums, are busy in their own studio in Sweden. The Dillinger Escape Plan is working in L.A. with producer Steve Evetts. At the Omen Room Studios in Los Angeles, CA, TDEP are to begin tracking songs. The band will remain in LA through July to complete work on the record. The drum tracks were recorded at Sonikwire Studios by Gil Sharone (Stolen Babies, Puscifer). June 15, 2007, Chris Pennie announced leaving the band. A Fall 2007 release date is expected via Relapse Records.
TDEP have posted a number of video teasers leading up to their time in the studio, including snip-its of the writing process, their high-speed cross-country travels to the studio, and a Sopranos-esque montage, which can be viewed at this location.
