Simon Gattringer was born on 27th May, 1986 in Linz/Austria. He got his first drumset at the young age of six from his uncle who also got him more and more excited about music. After self-taught playing, Simon took lessons at the regional Upper Austrian music school and the music school in Linz with Christian Lettner.
2004: Winner of the Austrian Newcomer Award with the Band Gallery of Sound.
First recording session.
2005: First steps as a sessiondrummer, several recording sessions with different local artists.
2006: After successful audition, majoring in Jazz and Popmusic at Anton Bruckner University in Linz with Joris Dudli, Doug Hammond, Herbert Pirker and Helmut Schönleitner.
POPART concerts in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
