Hailing from Wirral, Jake Woodward has been playing since the age of nine and has practically not missed a day since.
He has been gigging for a number of years now and has already achieved some personal goals.
Jake not only performed at the prestigious Philarmonic Hall, he was also the Musical Director. Since last years final he has supported Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez in clinic which has been a great confidence boost.
Jake Woodward continues to play with Wrench Estate, his own band and has also managed a few sessions along the way. He is also expanding his musical styles and has been working on everything from Drum 'n' Bass to Latin American.
Jake Woodward's goal is to become a professional drummer and travel the world is Jakes goal and to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Jose Passillas, Dennis Chambers, Brain and Vinnie Coliauta.
Jake Woodward made it to the finals of the Young Drummer of the Year (YDOTY), organised by mikedolbear.com, in 2005 and 2006.
