Jeremy Stacey Live at Remo Drummer Night 2017 Playing Tower of Power's 'Knock yourself out' Jeremy Stacey Live at Remo Drummer Night 2017 Our third article covering the Remo Drummer Night 2017 in Manchester features another drummer among England's best: Jeremy Stacey. His most recent activities include subbing for Bill Rieflin during the 2016 King Crimson European tour, and remaining in this super group as King Crimson's first-ever full-time keyboardist, that has also just released their 'The Elements Tour Box 2017'. This unique album features Jeremy next to legends Bill Bruford, Michael Giles, Gavin Harrison, Pat Mastelotto and Jamie Muir. To top it all, Jeremy also plays on Steven Wilson's 2017 album 'To the Bone'.

Looking at Jeremy's earlier references, the first thought that comes to mind is that these names below prove his versatility as a musician. And not a reference, but obviously a huge influence is Tower of Power. During the Remo Drummer Night he played TOP's Knock yourself out from the first Tower of Power album 'East Bay Grease' released in 1970.

Selected references Jeremy Stacey: The Lemon Trees, Doyle Bramhall II, Sheryl Crow, Noel Gallagher, The Waterboys, Echo & the Bunnymen, Eurythmics, Joe Cocker, Andrea Bocelli, Patricia Kaas, Robbie Williams and Ryan Adams.

Here's Jeremy Stacey playing Tower of Power's Knock yourself out. Jeremy's performance was sponsored by Tama and Istanbul Agop cymbals. Nice detail: Simon Phillips played the same yellow kit that evening. All drumheads are Remo, of course.

Remo Drummer Night
During the 2017 Remo Drummer Night on the Saturday of The UK Drum Show, 17 drummers played a different song with an All Star band put together by Karl Brazil who actually couldn't attend himself because he was in Boston in the USA playing with James Blunt.

Remo Drummer Night 2017 took place during The UK Drum show on Saturday September 23, 2017 in Manchester. Just like the Remo Drummer Night in 2008, the concert was organized to support the Teenage Cancer Trust.
