At the Zildjian booth at NAMM 2017 we checked out the new drumstick models for this year, including the two new Artist Series sticks of twenty one pilots drummer Josh Dun and Thomas Pridgen, who was at the age of 10 the youngest endorser in the Zildjian history. Josh Dun's model is red and built to withstand the heavy grooves he plays with TOP and features his Josh's signature and Skeleton Clique Alien Josh logo. Thomas' sticks have his cartoon character logo and are also built for heavy duty. Both series are made in the Zildjian factory in Newport, Maine in the USA.
Andy Tamulynas, product manager drumsticks for Zildjian and Vic Firth, takes you through the specs of the new Artist Series sticks for Josh Dun and Thomas Pridgen. Also added are the Zildjian videos of Thomas and Josh about their drumsticks.
Josh Dun Artist Series Drumsticks
The Josh Dun Artist Series stick is built to stand up to the aggressive grooves that drive Twenty One Pilots. It features a beefed up 5A shaft with extra length for more reach and effortless velocity. Its medium taper keeps everything in balance and the oval tip creates a surface area ideal for punchy drums and bright cymbals. The eye catching red stick has a reproduction of Josh's signature and Twenty One Pilots' Skeleton Clique "Alien Josh" logo.
