Although frontman Tom Gabel wouldn't confirm that Jay is a full-fledged member, he did admit hoping for a long-term collaboration:

"I've just learned over the past couple years to not sign anything or to not make anything 100% concrete, but I'm looking forward to that being more of a long-term thing and hopefully that'll be what happens."

The three longtime members of Against Me - frontman Tom Gabel, guitarist-vocalist James Bowman and bassist Andrew Seward - have issued some videos of their preparations with Jay Weinberg for their upcoming tour, which kicks off the day after tomorrow on January 15.

Both videos are captured by photographer Ryan Russell. In the footage Jay appears to be totally locked. Watch him play Piss and Vinegar from the group's fourth full-length studio album 'New Wave' (2007):
