Roland TD-17 tutorial #2 - tune, muffle and adding snare buzz More V-Drums options to define your sound and grooves Roland TD-17 tutorial #2 - tune, muffle and adding snare buzz #TD17.5 - During the launch of the Roland TD-17 series in Los Angeles, California, Michael Schack showed us the realm of possibilities that the TD-17 and its module has.
This video covers three major options with which you can recreate the sound of the drums and cymbals of the TD-17 with tuning, muffling and adding effects that make the drums sound even more real than they already do.

With the TD-50 improved sound samples, and the Prismatic Sound Modeling engine inside the module, the sounds of the TD-17 are already virtually real drums.

While you're watching Michael demoing the settings on the module itself, you will see that the multi-effects of the module and adding effect sounds plus combining them, sets the range of sounds in the TD-17 close to endless.
ps. The Prismatic Sound Modeling-technology means that it recreates the feeling as if you were playing an acoustic drum set.

Notice how easy it is to change settings for all the cymbals and drums when you hit one of them. And, for tuning and muffling, the module has two buttons to instantly change the sound of the TD-17 products.

#pushyourdrumming
In addition to this 2-minute video tutorial, a week after the launch of the TD-17 series at Roland's headquarters in Los Angeles, we recorded Michael Schack again during his Roland #pushyourdrumming tour in The Netherlands. We added some footage of one of the tracks he played there as well. Later, we will feature all that he played in full videos covering the successful and global #pushyourdrumming-tours he is doing for several years now.
