New drummer for Stream Of Passion Martijn Peters replacing Davy Mickers Drummer Davy Mickers parts ways with Stream of Passion; Martijn Peters is the group\'s new drummer Stream Of Passion will release their sophomore album, 'The Flame Within', on May 29, 2009 via Napalm Records. But the group will play their upcoming live shows in support of their new album without regular sticksman Davy Mickers.

After many years of musical collaboration Davy decided to part ways with the band due to personal reasons, but mainly to devote more of his time to his family. Explains the departing drummer:
"Everything started with the fact that my girlfriend is pregnant. We hadn’t planned it, but we were both happily surprised. We had been talking about having kids, but never that serious. Now suddenly it all became real. We’re expecting our first baby in September 2009. (...) there was no way for me to keep combining my private life, my school, my work and my bands. I’ve thought about every possibility, but in the end it came to this. At first it literally made me sick. It took some time to ease my mind, but eventually I had to give it a rest."

Replacing Davy as Stream of Passion's drummer is Martijn Peters (novAct, Backwater, Stentorian).

This leaves Marcela Bovio (vocals) and Johan van Stratum (bass) as the only original band members. Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon, Star One), Lori Linstruth and Alejandro Millán quit the band in 2007.
