Chris Pistillo new The Absence drummer Ex-Yeti sticksman follows up Jeramie Kling Chris Pistillo follows up Jeramie Kling Tampa, Florida's The Absence has announced the addition of former Yeti drummer Chris Pistillo to the group's ranks. He is replacing Jeramie Kling, who left in October, after five years and two full length albums.

Comments The Absence guitarist Patrick Pintavalle on the group's new drummer:
"[Chris] may not be as well known… yet. However, he is wicked awesome on the skins and he actually plays blast beats and has super quick double bass and if he decides to stick around be apart of this band I am positive that the next record will crush souls."

Jeramie Kling parted ways with the group somewhat disappointed. He experienced "repetitive blatant dishonesty" from band members that "ultimately was taking away from the band's success and priorities." Fortunately Jeramie continues with drumming:

"Thank you and thank you again to everyone who I have had the pleasure of meeting on the road and through the scene. It's not over yet keep your eyes and ears out."

The Absence latest cd, 'Riders of the Plague', was released on August 7 via Metal Blade Records. The album was recorded at Mana Studios in Florida with Swedish producer Jonas Kjellgren (Scar Symmetry, Carnal Forge). Mixing duties were handled by Jonas at his Black Lounge studios in Avesta, Sweden.
