Dutch female-fronted symphonic metallers Epica are currently looking for a full-time new sticksman, following Jeroen Simons\' departure in 2006.

Epica will embark on a North American headlining tour in September. Support at the shows will come from the Austrian/American \"epic metal\" band Visions Of Atlantis.

Epica\'s upcoming album, produced by Sascha Paeth, will feature a session appearance by God Dethroned drummer Ariën van Weesenbeek. The group\'s previously announced live dvd, which was filmed on May 4, 2006 at Paradiso in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, has been delayed until later in 2007. The band\'s latest album, \"Consign to Oblivion\", was recorded in early 2005 and features a guest contribution from Kamelot vocalist Roy Khan.
