London-based drummer Bob Knight has been playing drums professionally since the age of 15 where he began his career in his home town of Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

Rising through the ranks of music he has won numerous prizes and scholarships including the Boosey & Hawkes outstanding soloist award 1996 and gaining the one available place on the Royal Academy of Music’s Jazz degree in 1998.

His skills are broad and cover all aspects of music, these have led him to perform with artists as varied as JJ72, Kirsty MacColl, Michael Nyman, Avril Lavigne, Michael Buble, Phil Collins, Kym Mazelle and BBMAK.

He has toured through France, Germany, Turkey, Holland, Britain, Spain and Scandanavia.

Bob encompasses professionalism with a distinctive relaxed approach to music making, and is as comfortable leading a situation as he is sitting back and playing a supporting role.
